French Fries Day

With its humble origins in Belgium, the French fry has grown to become a firm favourite for people of all ages. Also known as chips (unless you’re American, in which case they are freedom fries), Flemish fries in their Belgian homeland or the more formal, french-fried potato, they are perfect for pairing with burgers, fish and pretty much anything else.

Their popularity has spurred a day of celebration and we are all about it at World Square! We have a number of cafes and eateries that will be pitting their fries against one another. So brighten your day by celebrating the glorious French fry and help us find the one fry to rule them all!
